Certificate Server Default Web Location

The Default Web Location is used by Certificate Server to store the following:

The Default Web Location can be conveniently accessed from the Certificate Server Web Page in the Certificate Server virtual root by clicking Certificate Enrollment Tools. This will access the Certificate Enrollment Tools Web page.

The Default Web Location can also be accessed directly with a Web browser. The Default Web Location is set during Certificate Server installation to be the following:

http://localhost/CertSrv/CertEnroll

When browsing the Certificate Server Default Web Location from a remote machine on the network, you must replace localhost with the computer name used to identify the server machine on the network. For example if the computer name of the network server running Certificate Server is CA_HOST, then another machine on the network would browse the Certificate Server Default Web Location as follows:

http://CA_HOST/CertSrv/CertEnroll

The computer name syntax also works when browsing from the same machine (CA_HOST in this case), but is not required.
