Automatic backup of Microsoft® Certificate Server information is not supported and should not be necessary. However, you can manually backup and restore a server installation if you desire.
To backup a Certificate Server installation

Make a backup copy of the files in the Shared Folder.

Make a backup copy of the registry.

Make a backup copy of CertSrv.mdb.
- Make a backup copy of the c:\Winnt\System32\CertSrv directory and its sub-directories.
To restore a previous Certificate Server installation

Install the Certificate Server program files using the setup program. When the Configuration Wizard is started and the Introduction dialog is displayed, click Cancel.
- Reinstall the backup copies of the Shared Folder files, the registry and the CertSrv.mdb file.
